David Sater is a life-long resident of Barry County and lives with his family in Cassville. He and his wife, Sharon Denney Sater, were married in 1973. They have two children, Joshua, a recent graduate of the University of Mississippi and Samantha, a freshman at Drury University in Springfield, MO.
Dr. and Mrs. Donald Sater, David's parents, are former residents of Barry County. He was a professor of education at Southwest Missouri State University for many years and she was a school teacher. Dr. Sater is a descendent of the Farwell family, Barry County pioneers. They are members of the First Baptist Church in Cassville.

David received his degree in biology from Southwest Missouri State University in 1969 and in 1972 graduated from UMKC School of Pharmacy. From 1975 to 2003 David and Sharon operated Sater Pharmacy in Cassville. He has been active in community affairs in Barry County and has been a consulting pharmacist for various health care providers in this area. David serves on the Board of Directors for Security Bank in Cassville and is knowledgeable about fiscal affairs which stands him in good stead in dealing with the state's budget of 19 billion dollars.

David Sater is past president of the American Cancer Society, member of the Board of Directors for the Barry County Disabled Fund of Barry County. Since semi-retiring, he has served as a pharmacists for the last two years in three-week mission trips to Honduras to help the poor and needy. He is involved with Habitat for Humanity in Cassville and has served in the music ministry at his church.

With his experience as a business owner, pharmacist, bank director and volunteer, David would like to put his that experience to work for the residents of the 68th District. Full retirement now allows him the time to serve and his devotion to his constituents will assure that their thoughts and concerns are heard in the state capital in Jefferson City.
As David says, "I know the people in my district personally...and I feel that I can represent them with the honesty and integrity that they deserve." Your concerns will always be David's most important priority as State Representative of the 68th District.
